Description

  • Assist the lead Superintendent and Project Manager in day-to-day management of field activities to ensure timely milestone and project completion.
  • Manage construction work according to priorities and plans.
  • Assist in producing schedules and monitoring attendance of construction crew when needed.
  • Define general and daily responsibilities.
  • Assist with project planning and site logistics.
  • Assist in drawings, specifications, schedules, material and supply budgets, subcontractor coordination, and client-driven rules and regulations.
  • Ensure all and safety requirements are met at every point of job.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to deliver construction projects on time and on budget.
  • Must be effective in a dynamic, multiple-project environment.
  • Ability to read and understand plans.
  • Technical understanding of various construction work including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices.
  • Capable of problem solving and experience with complex detailed projects.
  • Work with subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, city inspectors, organize and direct activities concerned with their construction projects.
  • Establish and execute project objectives, policies, procedures, performance, and quality standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  • Monitor and control construction project through managing the construction schedule and directing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage challenging situations, project delays, monitor job site safety, and implement corrective measures as needed.

Performing this job requires frequent use of hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. 

Must be able to sit, talk, hear, and stand frequently throughout the day.  Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently.  The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Individuals may occasionally be exposed to hazardous conditions, high places and /or hazardous equipment.  May work with or around chemicals that require knowledge of a safety data sheet.
